Joshua Salinas, CPA
Founder of Upland Global, Joshua grew up in Virginia and went on to play Division I soccer at East Tennessee State University, where he earned his B.S. in Corporate Finance and Investments. He later completed his M.S. in Accounting at the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce specializing in Tax Consulting.
Prior to founding Upland Global, Joshua built his career advising lower-to-middle market clients through complex financial and operational milestones. His experience includes advising private equity and small business clients on buy-side and sell-side M&A tax matters, including tax due diligence, analyzing the tax implications of transactions, and advising on structuring considerations related to the sale of businesses. Joshua is a licensed CPA in the state of Virginia, with a strong foundation in financial analysis, accounting, and tax advisory. His experience and education provide a strong foundation for delivering practical, well-rounded advisory solutions.
Zachary Miller, MSA
Co-Founder of Upland Global, Zachary earned a B.A. from the University of Virginia where he studied Theology and Environmental Science. He later completed his M.S. in Accounting at the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce specializing in Tax Consulting.
Zachary brings industry expertise across agriculture, land management, and construction. His experience spans livestock production, thoroughbred bloodstock, wetlands management, and real-estate development. He has applied this hands-on background to optimize operations across a diverse range of asset-based businesses. He has split a 20-year career between agriculture, energy, and real-estate sectors where he served in chief operational and CFO roles. His experience combines financial leadership with operational execution, enabling him to provide practical right-fit analysis with special attention to outcome efficiencies.
